LandCruiser drivers rejoice, because Toyota has just been named Australia’s most trusted automotive brand, after a survey by Roy Morgan Research found 34 per cent of prospective new-car buyers chose Toyota over other carmakers.
Almost 2500 Aussies were polled for the “Most Trusted” brands survey conducted for Reader’s Digest Australia. The gong was probably not that big a surprise considering it’s the 9th year in a row that Toyota has taken the award.
The magazine said the survey was designed to identify the brands that enjoy the ongoing trust of Australians because they continue to offer quality and substance.
Toyota sales domo Tony Cramb said the company was chuffed with the news after decades of vehicle development within Australia.
For example, this year’s special edition Altitude model (pictured) marks 45 years of LandCruiser wagon sales in Australia
Says Cramb: “Toyota has worked hard to develop a rich heritage of class-leading vehicles, built on the principles of quality, durability, reliability, and being fun to drive.”
Internationally, Toyota were also recently named the world’s most valuable automotive brand in The Best Global Brands Report (2014) compiled by international consultancy, Interbrand.
The Interbrand report measures brands based on financial performance, advertising exposure, consistency, customer understanding, clarity and relevance. Which is all great news for anyone thinking about the resale value on their Prado.
